Shoes That Fit

if the shoe fits ... come back for more!

eye for detail

i love detail. i love detail in clothes where even the slightest threading or the cross-stitch of a button can change a shirt from stuffy to funky. i love detail in planning even though i know that in the end, no one will notice the extra touch. i love detail in food and it's presentation. i love detail in art and in movies (i always pay attention to the background and the extras that artists and directors, respectively, include in their masterpieces.) i love detail ... like a kid who can spot a grasshopper on a blade of grass in a sea of green tuft : )

delightful post! you know what, you are absolutely right. It is the details that make life "beautiful".
I totally agree, and I am 100% like you. small things make out the whole. However the only negative that comes from attention to detail, is perfectionism and obsessive compulsiveness (is that a word?) and I have both... I think.

oh boy! i can so relate to the obsessive compulsiveness (it IS a word today!) and the need for perfection.

but strangely, i'm a giver in this aspect. i want perfection in what i do/ provide for others. but for myself ... i tend to have a lazy-eye for detail.

so i continue life in my organised mess (which i'm obsessive abt too -don't touch my pile of junk, it's stacked just so and i know where everything is!)

sigh ... i find myself blogging in the comment column!

absolutely, you are easy when it comes to yourself because you can or have already seen the potential of perfection in your mind. You know that it could be perfect and you imagine it in your head, and since we have vivid imaginations, it is like we see it clearly and therefore no need to fulfill it anymore. but we are afraid others don't see it,so you offer perfection to them... you... it's in your head.

I have a frame that I have been wanting to hang for over 3 years now. I imagine it in my head, and I know it will look perfect on my red wall. but I still didn't do it yet (it's on the floor).
ppl ask me what are you going to hang there (since I put in the nail already) and I answer:
a beautiful frame!

no one touches my pile of junk either, otherwise i loose everything.
