generation X and Why
you know, as a generation Xer, we were always taught to think out of the box. what if there is no box?
AG and i were discussing stuff the other day and she was not feeling very creative with her answers. so i asked her to think out of the box and use her imagination.
AG : where's the box mummy?
me : it's an imaginary box.
AG : so the box is not real?
me : you can't "see" the box because it's about how things are usually done. like rules. so the idea is to think of new ways to do stuff.
AG : how do you know if you are inside the the box and when you are outside?
me : what do you mean?
AG : how do you know if the box exists.
me : depends ... on what you think the rules are.
AG : so if i dun follow the rules, like the ones you and dada make, then i'm thinking out of the box. coooool, i think i'm going to like this.

oooo... looks like you've walked into a corner on that one.
Note to self - do not talk to anyone about thinking out of the box till they reach the age where they are too embarassed to ask what the box is...
hubs says that everything comes in a box. like packaging. there is no such thing as "no box".
Huh? You're still listening to him after he made you carry a cupboard with your beautifooo eye make-up at my get-together???
BOX HIM LAH!
Yeeeesss... but most times we don't 'see' the box (we don't see the box that most of the cloths you buy come in!).
we get drawn in by the packaging which disguises the box. it's always the packaging isn't it. we are just suckers.
That's way many pple are cloths obsessed... to a certain extent is that not packaging oso?
oh god! poor you... how old is she again?
she's a very conniving 7 year old scorp who is really quick with analising situations for her own gain. the kid is street smart, i have to admit. she keeps my mind active.
Hahaha you just created a monster! There is no box.
